On the Cover

Cool Whip is a five-year-old Paint and Quarter horse, owned and painted by Kennard Real Bird (Crow), master horseman and former member of the Tribal General Council of the Crow Nation. Real Bird will officially open the Song for the Horse Nation exhibition in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 3 p.m. by presenting the Crow Nation flag on horseback on the Welcome Plaza in front of the Museum. He will be joined by the D.C. Mounted Police presenting the U.S. flag.
